This is the first instalment in our practical, five-part webinar series, Managing the Employment Lifecycle. We chart a course from the inception of the employment relationship to its last breath. Our goal is to guide employers along that journey, from sunrise to sunset, stopping along the way to discuss best-practices, legal obligations and common-missteps. We have divided the lifecycle into five concise, comprehensive sessions, designed to help employers step strategically and confidently along each phase of the typical employment relationship.

In the formative stages of the employment relationship, employers must navigate a maze of overlapping statutory obligations and prohibitions.  But this phase also presents a unique opportunity – to get it right at the start.

This webinar will run from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the last 15 minutes reserved for Q&A.

• Why restrictive covenants (like non-competes) are often unenforceable, and how to create agreements which will protect your business
